Saturday Series: Paper Pumpkin Cute Conversations

I have to show you what ideas I came up with for this month's 
Paper Pumpkin Cute Conversations. I got mine in the mail yesterday, and honestly I tore that box open and said "WOW" and my mind began to spin thinking of all kinds of ideas!!  I knew right away this kit would be perfect for this Saturday's Series.I so LOVE this kit!!!
Take a look at what I came up with:



This kit was loaded with all kinds of good stuff. It came with 30 heart cut outs, twine, clothespins, sequins and stamp set. I have a video from Stampin' Up at the bottom of this post. I made the Banner and the pouches according to directions that came with the Paper Pumpkin, but was able to do so much more! I was able to get my banner (used 5 of the hearts) and made 3 pouches, a scrapbook page, and 17 goodie bags for my class next week!! WOW! All I added was a little more paper for the scrapbook page, and 17 of the Sketched Dots Tag a Bags.


Here's another look, I took off my scrapbook page, and just put on the pouches! Is that too sweet??






Here are my pouches, I used 2 hearts to make each pouch. Very fun and cute!! I stamped the little banners with the "to and from"...then I began to get all giddy!! :))



Do you see the small hearts on the bags, I utilized every inch on the paper and used my Sweetheart Punch to punch out hearts.




Now there is NO waste there!! ha-ha!!

I then used one of these pieces of "left over" paper and made a  frame for my scrapbook page! This is our sweet dog Myah, who we love so very much!!



I used the stamp to make the  bottom border sweet, and XOXO. If you knew are dog, you would know she's a sweetheart!!

I wanted to share this completely adorable little Curvy Keepsake Box with you. Have you seen this cute little boxes in the holiday catalog??? They are on page 11 in the holiday catalog. I haven't played with my stuff for about a week or more.....I was needing some creative time!!! We have been very busy with family lately, my oldest son graduated from Officer Candidate School in the Navy!!! Very proud! I will have some scrapbook pages.... yes I will!!  So this  fall box was "ME" time that  I just needed!!  :)

This little box is SO easy to make!! Actually so easy that well....I had to make more...

• start with a piece of 8 1/2 x 6" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock
• use the Autumn Accents  bigshot die and scrap papers of Tangerine Twist, Misty Meadow, and Champagne Glimmer paper to cut out leaves
• Stamp Merry Everything in Blackberry Bliss and use the Note Tag Punch 
• punch hole in the tag and use Linen Thread to attach to box.
• (I used glue dots in between the leaves)

I have been playing with the new Something for Baby stamp set and Framelit, and .I  came up with this super cute gift bag. I wanted to use the new Polka Dot Tag a bag and for some reason to me, baby and polka dots go together.

I wanted to share these super cute graduation party favors I made for my son's graduation party. I think they are so stinky cute! I basically just wrapped a Mentos candy, I had thought first Rolo's, but with the Texas heat that might be a little messy! :)









I used the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilties on the hat! I did the center with the lightest hue in the Cherry Cobbler then the darker color, using the very darkest for the edge.







I think these will be so cute on the table! Super easy, even better!







The details:

1. Whisper White 5 1/2" x 3"
2. Stamp congratulations (from Sassy Salutations) using Staz on ink
3. put Snail on 5 1/2" side , and roll Mentos candy
4. use glue dot to hold hat (from Pure Gumption-retired), tie Silver Foil ribbon

I wanted to share this cute little graduation espresso cup, party favor! I just love it! Once a month we have a demonstrator swap and meeting. This was one of the swaps I received from Vicki Bell. I was like doing triple flips! This is the perfect party favor for my son's graduation party. It has been a little busy at our house. My oldest graduated from college!! YIPPEE!!! Parents dream of these days, very proud of him and my youngest moved from his dorm to his first apartment....my guys are growing up!  (insert sad face!)

So here is the adorable coffee cup I received in this swap:






So here's the one I made in Texas Tech colors:




Is that cute? The belly band I used the Silver Foil Paper and embossed it with the Houndstooth  embossing folder. I really like how it turned out.








For the hat I used the Black Glitter brad.








I just love the owl punch. I have used it over and over again.







So here's the details on how to make this cup:
1. These cups are the espresso cups from www.webstraurant.com
2. I used a template to cup my paper to go around cup and to make the belly band. (if you email me I will send you one, www.jangirl.com)
3.To make the hat, I cut a 2 1/2" square in Basic Black cardstock twice and also cut one out of chipboard (like the kind that comes in your Designer Series Paper).
4. I sandwiched the 2 Basic black between the chipboard and glued together with Tombow, and attached the brad.
5. The rim of the brim is 3/4" and just glued to the cup with Tombow.
6. I pressed the brim into white craft ink pad (to get the circle impression) on the 2 1/2" square, I then
applied hot glue to this white circle impression and glued my hat on. ( I tried hot glue and Tombow for this, and hot glue seemed to work the best!
7. To make the tassel I just used 8 pieces of White Baker's Twine 6 inches long and made a small loop on top. I used one piece of White Baker's Twine 7 inches to attach to the brad, and secure the loop.
8. I then used the Owl punch to create this little guy. The heart is made with the Red Glitter Paper.

Paper: Polka Dot Parade (retiring!), Silver Foil paper, Brights Color Collection Designer Series Paper, Basic Black cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Red Glitter paper,
Accessories: Owl punch, Glitter Brad, Houndstooth Embossing folder

Quick and Easy Halloween Treats

Want to make some quick and fast Halloween treats? Your kids will love make these!






Inside is a Carmel apple sucker!





Here's how to make them:

1. Start with a piece of cardstock 2 1/4 x 6 1/2 (I used Tangerine Tango)
2. Score at 2 1/2 and 4
3. I held mine together with glue dots on the top by the sucker stick
4. Stamp image using Staz on, and I daubed a "moon" in Daffodil Delight using Dauber
5. Cut out using 1 1/4 circle punch, and the Modern Medley paper cut with the 1 3/4 scallop punch

Fun Christmas "Fudge"!! 

This is my kinda fudge!! Ha-Ha! I absolutely LOVE stuff like this, a kid at heart!!


This is a candy wrapper made out of Stampin' Up's new Envelope Board!!




I saw a got the idea from Janet Wakeland (us Janet's have to stick together!) :)
I changed the size of mine to fit a normal size candy bar. I started with a 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 sheet of Designer Series paper, I then scored on opposite sides at 2" and at 2 1/2". 

Halloween Week 6

Well it is creeping into October...I can hardly believe it!! I wanted this week to be some spooky home decor!! Well not all that spooky!!  :)

This is my take on the Halloween Spooky banner. So cute!!




I cased mine from Cindy Peterson. I put rosettes on each letter, love it!!

Fun Mini Muslin Bags : 10 Weeks of Halloween Week 5


So here are the Mini Muslin Bags!! These are too fun.  They are a little bigger than I thought they would be, they are 4" x 5 1/2". I put some homemade cinnamon spicy nuts in mine.


I used the stencils from the Build a Banner Kit.

10 Weeks of Halloween: Week 2

Is it September? feels like October at my house.... ha-ha!!  Here are a couple cute halloween goodies!!
