Thoughtful Banners Baby card

in , by jangirlstamps, 1:11 AM
In my Sweet and Simple card class we have been doing a series on punch art. Punch art is a great way to make those punches go even farther. I think this card is cute and precious!!  See what you think.

How cute is that right!! It's a perfect combination of textures- the new Ruffled Embossing folder, the doilie and the metallic shapes on the wheels!! The new Ruffled embossing folder is a show stopper!! It honestly transforms the paper, it literally looks like it's shaded. When I embossed my paper, I spritzed the paper just a little before running it through the big shot. Spritzing the paper, lets it 'bend' and that's how it embosses so deeply. VERY COOL!!

Baby carriage instructions:
  1. Punch out 1 circle using the 2 1/4" circle punch in So Saffron
  2. Cut that circle in half, and take one of the half circles and cut that into half again (so you have 3 pieces)
  3. Daub all edges in So Saffron
  4. For the wheels I used 3/4" circle punch in Smoky Slate, edges daubed with Smoky Slate
  5. I used Whisper White Baker's twine for the bow
  6. I cut a doilie in half and scrunched it up, like it's ruffled too!
I hope you enjoyed this sweet card.

I made this card for our first grand baby's  1st Easter. We got him some of the cutest lil' Easter things, I just can't wait to see him in them. I think this little card just turned out so precious, I used the Sketch CCMC397 from Create with Connie and Mary this week.

Here is that sketch: (this is a great sketch, thank you Connie and Mary!!!)

CCMC397

Here is our sweet little Easter card:

Did you notice the words on the Onsie? It's from the Made with Love stamp set, I thought it just looked great here! The onsie and the little duck are so cute here and really make this card.

To make the words "Happy 1st Easter" I combined two stamps, the Crazy about You and Day by Day stamp set. I love combining sets to make it personal and unique!! Here's how I finished the inside.

If you know me, something happens to me when I get the Fringe Scissors in my hands.  :)) I can't explain it, but somehow the sky is bright, I get to giggling and all the troubles in the world are gone!! :)) Maybe I should use them everyday!!

I hope you have liked my Easter card today, I was totally fun to make!! If you're in the Burleson area, and want to come to some fun classes, get a hold of me. If not, I encourage you to find a demonstrator in your area and go to some classes. To hand make cards for family and friends, is just so incredible, it gives back to you more than you can ever imagine! You may never know who's day or life your changing!!

Saturday Series: Oh Whale baby cards

I have to share these super cute baby cards!! I used the Oh Whale (retired) stamp set and die to make these! This is a gift I made for my daughter-in-law's baby shower. We gave them a big gift, but this is the kinda gift that keeps giving! This is a box of Thank You cards that she can mail out. I was thrilled how they turned out....oh the  happy dance around our house!!! This will be our first grand baby ...so no pressure!!  Hee-hee!!

Here they are:

Are those too cute?? I used the Tin of Cards tin to complete the package!! I used a couple items from the clearance rack for these projects, be sure to check it out....it's a little gold mine! I think these cards are too adorable!!

I made this tag using the Scallop Tag Topper and the White  1 1/4 inch Jute Ribbon. How fun is that?!! She will be able to keep the cards all together and it matches the theme!! Perfect!! :)) Pretty adorable right?? Boy I thought so!! Here's a closer look at each card:

For this card I used the Maritime Designer Series Paper that is on the clearance rack. This paper is so cute for this project. I stamped the waves on the paper. To make the Oval cut out I used the Oval Framelits and made it look like the Whales were peaking through!!

I also used the Cloudy day embossing folder (retired). The card base is Daffodil Delight, and I used Pool Party cotton ribbon and ink.

For this card I used the Lullaby Designer Series Paper that is on the clearance rack! This paper is so cute here, for bubbles and playful water type effect!. I used the 2 1/2 inch Circle Punch to cut the paper. The stamp here, is from the Oh Whale stamp set.

Ok...just about the time you thought all cuteness was ending! :)  This little card is too sweet!!

To make that stamp 'the world just got a little cuter'  rounded like that I just bent it to the shape I wanted and put it on the block. This stamp is from Made with Love, since it's photopolymer, you can shape it like this and stamp it in a curve!! Way cute right!!

Ok...ok! I know I so squealled when this card came together! Do you want to hear the good news....it's easy.  The adorable here is from the Made with Love stamp set!!!

1. start with a regular size card base : 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded in half

2.  Use the largest circle in the Circle Framelits-(which is actually the only scalloped circle) and place it on your card base as shown above. You want a little hanging over the folded edge. Then take that on your Magnetic Board and cut in your Big Shot. See how it looks below once cut.

3. Then take using the biggest circle that is not a scallop, cut one out of Whisper White.

4. Then take a smaller circle and place it as shown above and using the Magnetic platform, cut in your Big shot.

5. Using your hole punch, punch holes and insert ribbon. When you put your ribbon through the first hole, tie a knot at the end, then make bow in the middle and insert ribbon through the other side.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed these as much as I did making them!! Please be sure to check back on Saturdays for my Saturday Series, where I showcase paper, themes etc. Click here to order. Have a great day!!

Stampin' Up Something for Baby Boy card

in , by jangirlstamps, 10:50 PM
I have to share these super cute baby boy cards I made for a "new grandma" that comes to my classes!  She is such a sweet lady and received a blessing that just didn't seem possible. I wanted to celebrate with her, so I made her a couple cute baby cards she could use.  I just love the Something for Baby stamp set and matching framelits, they are so stinkin' cute!!

I used the baby's colors. The base is Tip Top Taupe and the fun designer paper is Schoolhouse Designer Series paper. I stamped the envelopes because to me it just makes it special and just sets it off.

There's also a 'sneak peak' in this card....can you guess?? I used a new corner punch on the sides of the tag. It's a fun little punch that has # different shapes in ONE punch!! It's available September 1st, and you will be seeing more of it!! It's a subtle design , but packs a WOW on this card.

I used the 1st baby framelits for the onsie  and the hanger. I just thought the big HELLO says it all.
I stamped the envelopes because yo me it just makes it special.

I hope you have enjoyed this!!

Stampin' Up Work of Art and Celebrate Baby card

in , by jangirlstamps, 8:15 PM

I wanted to share this baby card, using the Celebrate Baby  stamp set that is on the retired list! What I LOVE about this card, is how perfect it is for a girl or boy. I don't know about you, but it is nice to gave a card like this ready to go, that you can use for either.  I got an idea for this card from Mercedes Weber, in a swap at leadership.

Is that cute??

To create a subtle background, I stamped the Work of Art , in Soft Sky, So Saffron,  and Pink Pirotte.
I used the largest Banner Framelit for the card front.

I hope you like this card and feel inspired.

Stampin' Up Zoo Babies card

in , by jangirlstamps, 6:17 PM
I wanted to share this cute little card I made using Zoo Babies. I made this for one of our neighbors, who's theme fit just perfect with this stamp set!!I think baby cards are one of the most fun cards to make, maybe it's the colors, or all the excitement that surrounds the new coming baby. Anyway it's always fun for me!!

Here's my card:

Isn't that cute? I just love how the colors turned out. I am someone who doesn't like 'naked' envelopes, so I stamped the giraffe on there.

Did you see how I made this bow? I tied a knot in the ribbon and secured the sides to the back of the Calypso Coral cardstock. I think this gave it a soft touch, without over-doing it. What do you think??

I just think these little Zoo babies are so cute all together.  I think you could use this stamp set for birthday cards, Valentine cards or even thinking of you cards.  It could also be used for scrapbook pages for a Baby book as well as Zoo pages.

Items used:
Stamps: Zoo Babies, And Many More
Paper: Calypso Coral cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Lullaby Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Smoky Slate Ink, So Saffron Ink, Pool Party Ink, Calypso Coral ink, Best Year Ever Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration)

Have a great day!! The Ribbon used here is one of the items you can get for FREE during SALE-A-BRATION.   Click here to check out all the SALE-A-BRATION items and this weeks specials.
