I wanted to share this adorable Valentine treat that I gave as a fun "giftie" for everyone who attended my card class this month. I knew right when I saw this in the Occassions catalog that a fun treat was in my future!! The Hey Valentine stamp set is full of fun and whimsical stamps, it's just a little keeper!!

So here's my treats:



I crossed off the word school and wrote 'class', how fun is that!!!







I used the Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper. I thought the green went well here, sorta like water. Well maybe!! :) I used the Heart Framelits to cut out the fish, and the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelit for the sentiment.

Tool Tuesday: Bow builder Punch

For Today's Tool Tuesday I wanted to share the Bow Builder Punch. I know for me, sometimes Bow's take a little fiddling with to get them perfect! This little punch is like calling in the Bow calvary (ha-ha!!) I used the Bow Punch on this sweet little Valentine's treat that I made, and it just gave it a little WOW!  This is one of the treats we are making in our Valentine's class, and I just think it is so cute I can hardly stand it!

I made this so it was like a pocket to hold some small candies and treats.  This was actually a pretty fast treat holder as I used the Heart Framelits and the Bow Builder Punch.





I thought this bow turned out so sweet. In the center of the bow, I layered a Silver Glimmer heart, and a Rhinestone!! I shines, and glistens and really makes this adorable!!

In case you haven't seen the Bow Punch it's on page 13 of the Occassions Catalog. This is such a great tool, that I could not pass it up on Tool Tuesday!! It is definetly a punch that deserves a spot in your case!

I wanted to share these cute little Christmas dog treats. These would be perfect for those little furry friends in your life, stocking stuffers, neighbor gifts. These are quick and easy to make, so you still have time!!






I used the Top Note die as the topper and the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper.

Tool Tuesday (Gone Wednesday!!) Curvy Keepsake box


I had a little faux pas and meant to post this yesterday! So Tool Tuesday went to wild wednesday... ha-ha!!  I have been having a good time with the Curvy Keepsakes box, so I decided to highlight it in Tool Tuesday. This little tool in the holiday catalog is a keeper! If you don't believe me check Pinterest...these are  HOT!! So I made this little Turkey, he is such a little cutie!!

I wanted to highlight this tool because it is EASY to make and very VERSATILE and in my book that makes a great tool!!







He's pretty cute, right?






I kinda played with the feathers a little, goodness knows...he's got some!! I cut the feathers out of Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede. I put the smaller feathers in the front and the larger feathers in the back, and secured them on 1 1/4" scalloped circle. I put a scalloped circle in the back to, just to give him a finished look.





Now that's some tail feathers....ha-ha!!






Here's a side view. I think this would be so cute as a gift for a neighbor,  teacher, church friend or just sitting around your Thanksgiving table!!




Here's the details:

Feathers: used the feather die and cut 2 small and 2 large feathers out of Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry. I adhered them to a 1 14/" scallop circle and put another scallop circle on the back side.
Eyes:  I used tie Owl Punch for the eye and pupil
Beak:  I used the Triangle Punch and just cut it smaller, and used the small heart punch to make the gobbler
Front Feathers:  I used the 1 1/4" scallop punch and cut it into 2 wedges (one a scallop larger)

I wanted to share these cute little candy pouches I made. In my classes I love to give little 'gifties' to everyone attending, it is just a little thank you!! I made these little candy  pouches with the Merry Everything stamp set. This set has a little bit of every holiday in it, so you could easily make these for any holiday or party favor!





Aren't those cute??

• Start with a 3 x 6" piece of paper, I used Color Me Autumn Designer Series
• Score at 2  1/2"
• use washi tape to secure sides, I used Color Me Autumn Washi Tape
• for the tag I stamped the sentiment from Merry Everything in Cajun Craze onto Whisper White
• use the Note Tag Punch 
• cut Misty Meadow 2"  and use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch
• use Baked Brown Sugar Baker's Twine in the Scallop Tag Topper.
• this pouch is thin, but perfect for M & M's!!

I am go glad to be in the SUDSOL Blog Hop. Sudsol is like having a best friend...well many best friends at all.time,  it is full of resources and keeps me informed. I can honestly tell you I check my SUDSOL email everyday!!! I was involved in the SUDSOL blog hop last time too, I was happy to be involved again!! For my projects I wanted to share an alternate project to the Frightful Wreath Simply Created and a cute fall Curvy Keepsakes box.

I am one of those people who really LOVE Halloween. As luck would have it, I actually just got a new wreath for the door this year. So I changed the Frightful  wreath around to fit my needs!! I made 2 projects, one home decor, and a scrapbook page, I hope you like them.


Here's the wreath as intended per the kit.




Here is my home decor:




I made this to go on our mantle. I wrapped the black tinsel around the wreath and cut the webbing doew to a smaller size. I also cut the rosette down to fit the smaller webbing.  So as far as that, it was pretty much the same as the original idea, just cut to a smaller size. I also  added some orange mini lights!!




 I spray painted a wooden dowel black and inserted it into the foam wreath. For the base the I covered a canning  jar with Motley Monster paper. I applied Modge-Podge to the Motley Monster Designer Series Paper and then wrapped it around the jar. On the top of the jar, I used the Witches Brew
washi tape that's on clearance, I thought this balanced it out great!!

For my second project using the remainder of the Frightful Wreath Simply created kit, I made a Halloween scrapbook page.

I used the "cut off" areas of the webb on both pages!! The sparkle on this webbing is just so stinking cute!! I LOVE this page.



I used the Gorgeous Grunge to add a little splash of color.  I used the stamp set from the Sept 2014 Paper Pumpkin  for the sentiment, I also used this on the home decor.  The spider coming off the webb is from the Bite Me Photopolyner set.



For the paper I used Motley Monster Designer Series, and Back to Black Designer Series paper. I used the Banner Framelits  to make the banner edges. The black button is from the Neutral buttons, and I used Tangerine Tango baker's twine.



 ANSWER:  Our family was the black-eyed peas!!!   how fun is that??


Here is my Fall Curvy Keepsake box:




I thought this turned out so cute. I am gonna use these for my place setting at my Thanksgiving table.




The base is Pumpkin Pie and stamped with Tangerine Tango with Work of Art stamp. For the tag I stamped the sentiment from Mingle all the Way in Soft Suede, and I stamped it again in Tangerine Tango. I then fussy cut the words 'stuffed' and adhered on top, for me after trail and error, this worked well for me to get that word to pop. On that stamp, the words are tight, so to use the marker...well it was just messy too many times!! I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch it out, it really made it look dressy!!

The leaf is cut using the Autumn Accents die, with the Champagne Glimmer paper!! For the bow, I used Misty Meadow Ribbon and tried to make it look like a leaf!!

I wanted to share this completely adorable little Curvy Keepsake Box with you. Have you seen this cute little boxes in the holiday catalog??? They are on page 11 in the holiday catalog. I haven't played with my stuff for about a week or more.....I was needing some creative time!!! We have been very busy with family lately, my oldest son graduated from Officer Candidate School in the Navy!!! Very proud! I will have some scrapbook pages.... yes I will!!  So this  fall box was "ME" time that  I just needed!!  :)

This little box is SO easy to make!! Actually so easy that well....I had to make more...

• start with a piece of 8 1/2 x 6" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock
• use the Autumn Accents  bigshot die and scrap papers of Tangerine Twist, Misty Meadow, and Champagne Glimmer paper to cut out leaves
• Stamp Merry Everything in Blackberry Bliss and use the Note Tag Punch 
• punch hole in the tag and use Linen Thread to attach to box.
• (I used glue dots in between the leaves)

Monster Monday: Fall Fest Treat Pouch

Every Monday I have been doing a fun blog post called Monster Monday that has ideas for  Halloween treats, cards, and scrapbook pages!! I will be doing this until the last week of Halloween...just to scare up some fun!!! So I made a quick and easy treat pouch, that you could easily change up for any holiday! I used the Fall Fest stamp set and Framelits, I also used the stamp set from September's Paper Pumpkin.


Here's my cute little pouch: (directions at bottom)









I made this for my Secret Santa at work, I know....it's a little early. This year we decided that we could give early, so I came up with this little pouch.








It holds a regular sized candy bar, this would make a great Christmas gift, teacher gift, the uses are endless.










Directions:

1. cut paper to 3 1/4 x 11 1/2 ( Smoly Slate)
2. score at 5 1/2, and 10 inches
3. fold on score line, use scallop border punch on top edge
4. stamp pumpkin in Tangerine Tango, and use Old olive marker for the stem cut out with framelit
5. cut out ghost with Fall Framelits in  Whisper White and use wiggling eyes
6. stamp sentiment from Sept 2014 paper pumpkin, in Memento Black pad
7. use star punch with Silver Glimmer 
8. to put the pouch together, staple under the flap on both sides and near the bottom. (tip: I used my Stampin' Up Stapler, but any will work, staple first then adhere Designer Series Paper, so the staples are hidden under the paper. (I used the Monster Motley Designer Series Paper cut at 3 x 3 1/2)
9. The tag: is 3 x 2" and just added a strip of the Monster Motley Designer Series Paper) the tag was also stamped with the Sept 2014 Paper Pumpkin. The ribbon on top is Pumpkin Pie cotton ribbon.

I wanted to share this adorable treat bag I made for my hubby for Halloween! I used a Petite Cafe' bag from the Holiday catalog. This bag is lined and fold down easily to keep treats fresh, a great bag for this time year for all those goodies. I used the Fall Fest and the coordinating Fall Fun Framelits to make this bag.







Is that cute? I will put a treat in it we call Payday (it's a combination of Candy Corn and Peanuts!!). It's yummy and perfect for this time of year! I will have it in my classes too!!! If you like sweet-salty combination you would like this.

Monster Monday: Halloween Tag treats and tutorial

Halloween is just one of those fun times of the year, I get all excited when I start seeing candy and all the goodies at the store. I wanted to share these sweet and simple treats that you can make over and over again for all the little goblins in your life! Every Monday till Halloween I will share some ideas to help you brew up a little fun on Halloween.
