When I first saw the Kind and Cozy Stamp set, it reminded me of a watermelon that me and my mom had made with painting. When I did this in class, I realized not everyone saw a watermelon....Ha-Ha!!
So here it goes

can you find where the owl punch was used?? I took this card for my SUDSOL swap at convention. I just loved how it turned out!!

Notice the seeds in the watermelon? They are the heart in the owl punch, cut in half. This is a trick I learned from my mom, years ago! Super cute!! Here is the Summer scrapbook page we made in our monthly first Saturday Scrapbook day!

Now if your wondering where is this watermelon from?? It is the gingham circle and center circle from the  Kind and Cozy stamp set. Basically I stamped the gingham circle in Old Olive and the inner circle in Melon Mambo.  I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to cut out the gingham, and cut the inner circle with the 1 3/4" circle punch. I then cut it in half, and one half I cut into quarters. I made the "bite" with the  1 3/4 scallop punch. This makes a great Summer time scrapbook page.

For Watermelon Card and Scrapbook Page
Stamps: Six- Sided Sampler, Kind and Cozy
Paper: Old Olive Card Stock, Basic Black Cardstock, Garden Gingham Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Owl Punch, 2  1/2" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Punch, Ribbon, Large Scallop from the circles thinlits, Versamark

Tool Tuesday: Owl Punch
Owl Punch
I know the owl punch has been around awhile, but it is such a versatile tool! If you have ever been to one of my classes then you know, we USE it! :)) It has various sized circles to make eyes, and other shapes. On the main body you can cut the ears off, the feet off, change the feet color. You are pretty much limited to your imagination.

I wanted to share this Owl Punch idea board I made up about a year ago! What fun! So this is the Owl Punch used many ways, with extra punches, legs trimmed etc. My favorite, is the chicken! Which one is yours???

What I LOVE about this punch is it's versatility. Tomorrow I will show a card and a scrapbook page using the owl punch, along with some other punches.Super cute! If you want details on how I made each one, let me know.

Click here if you would like to order the Owl Punch!

Have a great day!

Ronald McDonald : Tag It Stamp Set

Ronald McDonald was at the convention, and he was talking about the difference that Stampin' Up has made in the lives of children and families that stay at Ronald McDonald Houses across the nation. Every year Stampin' Up has a specific stamp set that they donate $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald charity, each time they sale it. The stamp set this year is called Tag It! It caught my eye right off. Everyone at convention received one for free!! Way to go Stampin' Up! I am very proud to be a part of this company!!!

    RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES®

To help fulfill this statement, Stampin' Up! launched its Making a Difference program in 2003. This program facilitates corporate giving and promotes service among demonstrators and employees.

Through the Making a Difference program, Stampin' Up! partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Each year, we design an exclusive stamp set to promote the partnership with RMHC, and donate a portion of the proceeds from the each sale of that set. To date, more than $1,000,000 has been donated from RMHC stamp set sales.

Stampin' Up!'s demonstrators are also encouraged to volunteer their time teaching local Ronald McDonald House guests the creative art of rubber stamping through the Making a Difference program. Demonstrators also create cards at training events which are donated to Ronald McDonald Houses. Those staying at the Houses then use the cards to keep in touch with loved ones while they are away from home.

So this year I decided to be involved with a Ronald McDonald swap.
Here are some of the swaps  I received:

     The santa was popular

    Love the colors!

                                       Super get well card!

He is a cute little guy! He cracks me up!! I am pretty certain he would brighten up anyone's day!

                                                  Have a great day!!

Actually this is for our group leaving the Dallas/ Ft Worth area to Salt Lake!! Yeah! We are actually all not roommates....ha-ha!

These are those fuzzy socks, wrapped up to look cute! There are 10 in our group! Who knew finding fuzzy socks in the middle of summer in Texas would be a challenge! After several stores,  I lucked out. I wrapped them in a piece of 2" DSP, held together with a couple glue dots. Pretty cute!

    !

    Modern Mosaic Christmas

    Modern Mosaic Merry Christmas

It's hard to think about Christmas in July, with this heat in Texas! But Christmas will sneak up on you, it sure does me!

This is my first Christmas Card for this year.

The more I work with this set, the more I can really see how versatile it is. On the Apothecary Accents I cut one in Whisper White, one in Old Olive. How I "shadowed" the title, was to cut the Old Olive in half and adhere with adhesive to the Whisper White piece.

Do you notice the ribbon? This is Whisper White Organza Ribbon, daubed with Old Olive. Isn't that a great trick? It is gorgeous!! So you can daub the Whisper White Organza ribbon with any color!!
I LOVE it, when I can find different ways to use a product! The sheen is so pretty!

    Enjoy!
