Stampin' Up Garden in Bloom card

by jangirlstamps, 7:11 AM

I wanted to share this cute and simple card I made for a friend of mine. I used the Garden in Bloom set to make this card, which is really an awesome stamp set. I know you have seen me use this several times....it's one of my fav's!

I think what I like about this card, is the extra touches. Like the embossed background, is just that in the background not overwhelming the card. The front layer is actually Shimmery White card stock that is subtle but adds a little pizzazz. The Shimmery White cardstock is on page 149, it just shimmers and sparkles in a soft subtle way, it's very pretty! LOVE it!! I also added an In-Color Blossom Accent to the center of the flower.I tucked a small piece of Dotted Lace Trim to the edge to add softness. So to me it's all these little elements, that make it special.

To make this flower I stamped the outer part of the flower, then stamped the inside part of the flower. This stamp is like a 'smart stamp" you know how everyone has a smartphone, smartwatch (I like to tell my hubby he has a smartwife!!  ha-ha) well this is a smart stamp. It has directional points on it so lining up to stamp on top of am image is easy!! Just line up the points, that may sound like a no-brainer...but wow it makes my life easy!!

Have a great day!

  1. The flower is lovely but the lace trim and Embellishment in the middle really complete the card. Lovely!
