Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Scissors (Cutting Perfection!)

Good Afternoon Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tools are the Stampin' Up Scissors. You may say "scissors are scissors", but not all scissors are created alike. Also for today's Sale-A-Bration count down project we are gonna take a peak at  the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper! The colors are so refreshing and just lovely!

If  you have ever been to one of my classes you know everyone has their own scissors in their basket! Stampin' Up Scissors are divided into two categories: Paper Snips, and Craft Scissors. Let's explore each one.

Paper Snips

Craft Scissors

Paper Snips:          #103579       $9. 95
  • Used for cutting out intricate shapes that have lines and corners.
  • Can reach in the smallest of areas.
  • Excellent for cutting ribbon.

Craft Scissors:       #108360       $29.95
  • Designed for multi-purpose cutting.
  • Makes clean and crisp cutting on paper, ribbon, and card stock.
  • 3 3/4" blade length with an ergonomic handle.

As you can see, each pair of scissors has many benefits and uses. I have both pairs and they are well loved!

These Scissors are super sharp! (ask me how I know!!   :) ) but that's exactly what you want in  a scissor, so your ribbon doesn't fray, ends are clean. Seriously, this is a essential tool.

Are you getting excited for Sale-A-Bration?  Boy I am!  I decided today to highlight the Sweet Sorbet Paper. When I first saw it, I was like this is the Sale-A-Bration Paper?. It is so easy on the eyes, and can be used for many occasions and for more than just cards. This little journal and matching pen set turned out adorable. This was a pillow gift made by my Friend Sharon.

Aren't those colors peaceful? Oh I just really like it!

Did you notice the Ribbon? It's a yo-yo made out of ribbon. To make that flower you take a piece of Ribbon about 2 1/2" long and sew a running stitch on one side and pull. You can easily do this by hand. A running stitch is just a basic stitch and it allows you to gather easily.

This is a great idea for a teacher, friend or student.

Items used:
Paper: Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration)
Accessories: Smoky Slate 3/4" Chevron Ribbon, Very Vintage Designer Button, Rhinestone

Have a great day!! Check back tomorrow as we continue to countdown to Sale-A-Bration!!
