So here's the card I came up with.
It turned out to be a simple, yet elegant looking card I thought. I struggled with how to make the flower 'pop' and yet not look over done.
The flower is stamped in Wisteria Wonder, and then I used the Blender Pen with Elegant Eggplant Ink to add depth around the edges of the flower. I experimented with a couple different ideas for the center of the flower. I first tried embossing it with Silver Embossing powder, that was just ok. Then I tried putting the Silver Glitter in the center, well that looked like a 2 year-old got a hold of it! I tried Rhinestones and that looked like....welll not good!! So finally, what I ended up doing was using the Dazzling Details and using the tip of my Paper Piercing Tool to apply 'little' bits of the Silver Glitter. I don't know how well you can see that here. It turned out pretty but not over-bearing!! wahoo!!
Here's a close up view. What do you think?
And I simply just stamped the inside to finish it off.
I hope she likes it!! :)

ReplyDeleteI love how the look of the darker color along the edges of the flowers adds so much depth to the card. A different (and definitely easier) way than "fussy" cutting! Thanks for joining us in the sketch challenge this week at at Create with Connie and Mary!
