So here is my card:
I just think it turned out so lovely!!That's not a word I use often, but it's really quite striking!!
I started off with equal strips of all three colors (Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red, and Blushing Bride) cut at 1 3/4". I embossed the strips using the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder. For the main focus of the card I stamped the Bloom With Hope and the Time to Celebrate in Black Staz on Ink onto Vellum. (A little tip: I first did it with the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and it smeared, now probably if I was more patient and let it dry a while it would have been ok) :)
After I stamped it, I used a blender pen and a small amount of Blackberry Bliss ink. I started with the ink on the center of the flowers and blended outward. How I like to get just a little ink, is to shut the ink pad and squeeze together, so just a small amount ends up on the inside of the lid. I then use my blender pen on that small amount of ink.
I layered the Vellum and the Blushing Bride on the Deco labels Framelit, and then added a small piece of Blackberry Bliss Ribbon to finish off.

Your card is just beautiful! I love the stamped vellum layer over the cardstock and your image and coloring are so pretty! The ombre background is a great way to use the colors! Thanks for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary for the Color Challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you added just a hint of color on your flowers! Thanks for playing Create with Connie & Mary this week!
ReplyDeleteThe Blackberry Bliss is such a striking color! Thank you!
DeleteLove the trio of ombre colored panels in the background! That small greeting is so sweet on there, too! Coloring on vellum is one of my favorites...a little trick I found is to color the back...then the black (either Stazon or Memento) doesn't smear, but the color still shows thru to the front! Thanks for playing along with the color challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the good tip, I will remember that!
ReplyDeleteI love your three paneled background! That really shows off the challenge colors beautifully! And the stamped vellum looks beautiful! I love how that looks! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to color your flower - leaving 'white space' in them. Love the way you did your panels in the colors and then added the texture! Thanks for playing along this week in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!
