Stampin' Up Bloom with Hope

I wanted to share this little pack of cards I made using the new Bloom with Hope (hostess) stamp set. You know that feeling when you look through the catalog for the first time and you get that ah-ha moment? Well that definitely happened to me when I saw this stamp set. It is so versatile and this is my first time playing with it! I LOVE it!! Wahoo!! We are gonna make these in my stamp class. I can't wait! I got this idea from Leeann Greff.

I used the new In-Colors for 2014-2015. My favorite  colors are the Hello  Honey and the  Blackberry Bliss.   .

I started out with the notecards, and the new In-Color cardstock was cut at 3 1/4 x 4 3/4. The Whisper White that I stamped on was cut at 3 x 4 1/2. This is a type of masking technique. I used post-it notes to mask off the area. I put one post-it note at the 1 inch mark and the 2nd at the 2 1/4 inch mark. I chose 2 of the In-Colors and sponged darker on the edge of the paper and lighter to where the 2 colors would meet.  What I really like about this technique is the colors are either more muted or amplified by how heavy handed you are with sponging. Sometimes Janet gets a little crazy and I just have to say to myself....gentle sister!!  hee-hee!

I like this color combo, it's just happy to me! The sentiment is from the new photoploymer Best wishes. I really like the font!

It's funny how you change the color combo and the mood of the card changes!

I really like the vivid colors here! Do you see why this stamp set caught my eye!!

Is that sweet?

I hope this has given you some ideas! Not only is this stamp set really versatile, by using the note cards you can make these in no time. The note cards come in a package of 20, already scored and envelopes included. They are a nice weight of paper too, not flimsy!

Have a great day!
